As a communications technician at the Kalgoorlie Super Pit, I was responsible for the troubleshooting and ongoing maintenance of the data, voice and fleet management network.• Troubleshoot Extreme Wireless mesh WiFi network on a daily basis in a constantly changing landscape and harsh terrain of the mine. The network connects mining equipment across the 5km2, 600m deep open pit mine using 60+ access points.• Install and troubleshoot Ubiquiti point to point microwave links to backhaul voice and data networks to isolated areas of the mine.• Troubleshoot and configure managed switches with multiple VLANs and trunked links distributing the data and voice network.• Troubleshoot and configure Linked Capacity Plus MotoTRBO DMR network used throughout the mining operation on 1000+ subscribers. The radio fleet were managed and monitored with Motorola Radio Manager, TRBOnet Dispatch, TRBOnet Watch. • Install, configure and troubleshoot the Hitachi Wenco fleet management system on Komatsu and Caterpillar mining equipment with high precision GPS, machine sensors and serial communications (VIMS) to onboard computers. • Install and troubleshoot 12/24V DC circuits on mining vehicles and solar powered communications equipment and trailers.• Assist with the training of new staff by creating documentation and schematic diagrams in MS Visio.

As the online community officer, I was responsible for the implementation of the Befriend’s CRM and email marketing platforms. I collaborated with 8 staff, volunteers, web developers and marketing consultant • I eliminated tedious manual data entry by implementing Zapier to automate the creation of events 30+ monthly events and deliver notifications to Slack.• Developed easy-to-understand documentation for systems and processes to create a smooth transition for staff and volunteers to new systems.• Increase traffic to Befriend’s website by coordinating the redesign of the website with marketing and web consultants.• Created detailed reports using Google Analytics and Google Tag Manger

I worked as part of the Useful team on Big Help Mob. The goal of Big Help Mob is to make volunteering as main stream. We did this by launching an app that connected volunteers with organisations that need them. My role was on boarding new organisations and provide ongoing support.
