Leadership• Create the environment for success to delivering Solution Architecture services across the Bank;• Represent and be an advocate for the Solution Architecture practice;• Actively consult with the business to assist in the facilitation of solution architecture services;• Ensure team members manage and adjust their own performance in line with the Bank’s and the Department’s Vision;• Promote a full exchange of ideas, participate in group discussions and encourage others to participate;• Lead by example in demonstrating the Bank’s vision, strategy and values.Solution Architecture• Ensure initiatives in the Bank have the required Solution Architecture skills to effectively achieve results;• Actively promote and ensure continuous improvement of solution architectural frameworks, patterns and standards;• Ensure governance oversight exists between solution architecture and solution design, ensuring minimal translation issues;• Challenge the status quo and ensure the team of architects are working towards a common cause;• Active management of exceptions to the architectural frameworks and standards.Relationship Management• Develop and manage productive relationships through partnering, both internally and externally to the Bank;• Ensure alignment to common goals with your Manager, Team Members, IT Teams, Business Units, Project Teams and Vendors;• Constructively challenge activities that are outside of your goals, roles and responsibilities and team processes.Customer and Partner• Understand, comply and contribute to the improvement of internal frameworks, processes and methodologies;• Actively influence business strategy through a consultative approach;• Working with all customers and partners, translate business strategy into technical vision and strategy;• Communicate effectively to build relationships with internal and external customers;• Cooperate with other departments to provide customer service excellence.

Technical• Driving the development, implementation and uptake of solution architectural frameworks, patterns and standards;• Proactively identify and address architectural challenges both at a project and business as usual level by working with all SMEs from other domains;• Actively contribute to the preparation of architectural documents and presentations for key decision making;• Challenge the status quo and ensure the team of architects are working towards a common cause;• Actively consult with the business to assist in the facilitation of problem solving;• Active management of exceptions to the architectural frameworks and standards.Leadership• Provide architectural design leadership, supporting direct team members and the wider value chain across Solutions Delivery;• Proactively identify architectural gaps and actively manage a plan to address;• Promote a full exchange of ideas, participate in group discussions and encourage others to participate;• Lead by example in demonstrating the Bank’s vision, strategy and values.Customer and Partner• Actively influence business strategy through a consultative approach;• Working with all customers and partners, translate business strategy into technical vision and strategy;• Communicate effectively to build relationships with internal and external customers;• Contribute to the team’s continuous improvement and be able to demonstrate the realized benefits.Governance• On-going governance of the solution implementation to ensure overall compliance and minimal translation issues;• Demonstrate business value through the delivery of solutions that meet desired business outcomes;• Maintain full awareness, adherence and contributions to your functions governance practices including procedures, patterns and standards;• Comply with processes and frameworks and accept that breaches will not be tolerated;• Lead by example and mentor solution designers in delivering governance services.
