Sam Lyons is a junior at Tufts University (3.80 GPA). Majoring in IR (concentration in Security) and English, as well as minoring in Spanish, he is a writer at heart. Sam brings his academic charisma, success, and leadership to the rugby pitch and the stage. He starts on the Tufts Rugby team, where he also serves as the team Risk Manager. He is also the Music Director for his award-winning A Capella Group, Shir Appeal. A Massachusetts native, Sam is passionate about his home state. He takes his skills in writing and experience in international relations to policy work in MA. He started this journey working for his town of Lexington's own Senator, Cindy Friedman, as a Policy Research Intern, and he hopes to continue such writing and research. He is looking to find such work through political consulting, advocacy/think tank work, or journalism in the summer of 2025 and beyond.
