For many TSO, they raison d'etre was to work face to face with their communities and the pandemic effectively stopped this overnight. Many TSO were funded solely to provide this face to face activity, so their income streams dried up overnight. Others used their assets to derive income, such as hiring out their community spaces to the locals. Again, this income dried up overnight.Argyll TSI worked with Scottish Government and other funders to find resilience loans and grants that the TSO could use to stay afloat.My role was to connect as many of these organisations with lifelines as possible..Another part of my role was to represent their views to seek change in the sector. To do this, I contacted them using social media, letter, newsletters, phone - whichever was possible to establish a link and feed back what they needed in real time.This had me looking for innovative and adaptive solutions to address a problem that was changing daily. it was a challenging role and required collaboration with many parties to bring to fruition. -
