Specializing in communication and compassion, Samantha Janes utilizes every experience she has had in her life to ensure everyone she works with feels seen, heard, and valued. Samantha obtained her first degree in Baking and Pastry Arts from The Art Institute in 2012, where she graduated top of her class with high honors, maintaining acceptance on the Dean’s Honor Roll every semester along the way. She is currently enrolled at Arizona State University, where she is projected to graduate in Winter 2022, with a Bachelors of Arts in Business Management. Samantha has earned a spot on the Dean’s List every semester thus far. Since 2010, Samantha has been heavily involved in her community, providing a service to the local youth as an active youth leader. Samantha is also a charitable cheerleader, servicing the LGBTQ+ community, having single handedly raised over five thousand dollars in the last three years for her local charities. Samantha strives to be the best leader in retail, constantly checking and adjusting her approach, while never losing her footing along the way. Her colleagues would say that she has a knack for getting the job done while still having fun, and making everyone smile along the way. When Samantha was a Store Manager for Starbucks Coffee Company, she was able to increase peak sales by seven percent while inspiring her team to enjoy the work they do by creating meaningful connections with guests. This resulted in a 12 point jump in guest satisfaction. During her time with Ulta Beauty, Samantha has spearheaded several corporate events, from securing talent, booking vendors, and setting goals based on projected sales. In every event Samantha has run, she has exceeded sales goals by 15% or more, and has increased prestige penetration by 25% in every store she has worked in. In both her previous role and current role, Samantha has been involved in the social media community for her company. At Starbucks, she was the Pride Influencer for her region. She was was tasked with ensuring all members and allies of the Pride community felt seen, heard and valued at the store level within the company, while partnering with the community to create events. As a Services Manager with Ulta, she maintains relationships with beauty influencers as well as brand partners, focusing on event hosting and supporting content creation. Samantha has keep close relationships with various TikTok and Instagram influencers to create events and provide space and resources for their content creation.
