In collaboration with the DENR (Department of Environment and Natural Resources), the San Fernando Munipality Local Government Unit, and the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources: Conducting coral reef surveys in the coastal waters of my family’s homeland of Sibuyan Island,Philippines, using the ALWAN citizen-science method and photogrammetric surveying to analyze biodiversity and benthic coverage.Creating an oral history and baseline understanding of our coral reefs and fisherfolk to uncover gaps in community understandings, policy, and institutional support.

Developed an automated MATLAB algorithm to track and analyze suspended sediment, aimed to enhance coastal hydrodynamics and morphological change models. Research assisted larger research study (funded by the US Coastal Research Program) that seeks to observe and model the contributions of sea swell and infragravity waves to sediment transport.

Executed social media campaigns, created original content, and attended bi-weekly meetings.

Collected data on microfauna in the Massachusetts Bay during the High School SEA Semester Program and worked with 37 other crew members to sail and navigate the 134-foot tall ship.

Implemented a proof-of-concept experiment to measure the viability of the Point Count Catch and Release method in collecting data on the sex prevalence of the American Toad throughout the Apostle Islands (with a focus on Sand Island).
