Hello! I'm proud to introduce myself as a successful small business owner, furniture builder, and passionate member of the maker community; professional titles that mean very much to me. However, since I left my job as a high school biology teacher at Cheshire High School five years ago (where I received exemplary reviews from my administrators), I find myself very much missing an integrative and dynamic team experience. I absolutely love designing and building furniture and will continue to run my business in the foreseeable future, but am looking to add a challenging and exciting professional experience to my resume. I am not even sure what job opportunities exist that I am qualified for or would excel at, but I am so excited to find out. In addition to running a successful sole proprietorship, I founded a growing professional networking organization called the CT Small Business Party when I felt a void in Connecticut for progressive, artisinal small business owners to connect. I am confident that any employer would find me to be an industrious, enthusiastic, friendly, respectful, hard working, focused, and reliable team member. I look forward to learning about what exciting new professional opportunities exist that might be a great fit for me.
