Sammy Ferris has experience in marketing in luxury fashion and business. She currently works at Maison MKRT as a Creative Strategist. Last year, she studied in Paris, France to obtain her Masters in Fashion and Luxury Business at grande ecole Sup de Luxe in Paris, France. Her connection to luxury fashion roots in her passions for craft, storytelling and connection. Throughout her work and school experience, she's honored these values.In her masters, her related coursework includes Advanced Marketing in Luxury Fashion, Digital Marketing and E-Commerce, Supply Chain Management and Corporate Finance in all of which she achieved high marks. Her experience with creating marketing campaigns and curating recommendations for brands like Chanel, Stella McCartney and Bottega Veneta in her coursework motivate her to work in luxury in marketing.In Paris, she also worked as a showroom assistant for The Paper Mache Tiger Showroom in September 2022, January 2023 and March 2023, gaining industry experience and honing her communication and technical skills.Graduating from UNC Chapel Hill in May 2022 as a Morehead Cain Scholar and Honors College student, she earned her Bachelor's in Journalism from the Hussman School of Journalism and Media with a minor in Entrepreneurship from the Shuford Program in Entrepreneurship.Her senior year at UNC, her print work in her capstone class earned her publications in WRAL, Indy Weekly, and 99.9 The Fan ESPN. Her speciality is feature stories, using writing to give voice to the stories of others and connect people together. She is a quick, coachable learner with ambition, diligence and the ability to easily connect with people. She believes in the power of the luxury industry shaping culture and the future of digital and experiential marketing. She intends to utilize her experience and skills to achieve success in marketing in the luxury industry.
