  I spend my time collecting Florida Longleaf Pine Needles from "old growth"​ longleaf pine trees in Perry, Florida and prividing them to basket crafters and organizations. Many of the old trees still show "catface"​ scars remnant of the "Turpentine Era" of early Southern Culture.Gardening is my passion. I have a small vegetable garden and a small stock of nursery plants that I manage. I also raise Citrus trees and now have 24 different varieties and 80 trees, including 8 varities of tangerines, 4 varieties of oranges, 1 variety of pummelo, 3 varieties of tangelos, 4 varieties of limes, 2 varieties of lemons, and 2 varieties of kumquats. I also do some grafting and have 5 varieties of pears on one tree.
