With over 20 years of experience in system firmware/software development, customer support, security/thermal technologies, product management, and technical marketing, I am currently a Test Senior Principal Engineer at Dell Technologies, one of the leading PC manufacturers in the world. In the earlier role of Dell BIOS architect, I devoted in making sure the readiness of BIOS/firmware architecture of Dell's consumer notebook product lines, including Inspiron, Vostro, and G-Series. My current mission is to ensure the USB/Thunderbolt functionality of Dell's PC and dock product lines by developing a comprehensive and accurate set of test cases with the strength of solid understanding of system level architecture from BIOS/firmware/software perspective.In my current role, I have revamped and augmented the test coverage of a larger scope of system configurations, established common practices for more effective issue resolution, led the evaluation and deployment of various automated testing tools. In my previous role, I have wrote architecture specifications and led the incubation and development of new features such as the turbo mode and gaming mode hotkey switches. I have also proposed an innovative idea of configurable desktop/laptop mode switch that helps promote the Dell-unique thermal settings as one of Dell's competitive advantages. Additionally, I am always eager to learn and explore new technologies and domains, such as machine learning, data science, blockchain, and virtual/augmented reality, to enhance my skills and knowledge.
