The Farah Hospital was the site of the first IVF baby in Jordan in 1987.The Farah Hospital is the leading provider in obstetrics, gynecology, and reproductive medicine, and its IVF lab is one of the worlds largest and most advanced, where research and clinical trials are conducted to introduce new technologies in the field.As an intern, I shadowed Dr. Al-Kilani and other physicians around the OR and within the In-Vitro Fertilization Laboratory (IVF). I also observed numerous procedures including Cesarean sections, Deliveries, Embryo Transfers, Intra Uterine Insemination (IUI), Myomectomy and Hysterectomy.Assisted/Shadowed researchers in the Assisted Reproduction and Technology Unit (A.R.T), which is one the largest and most technologically advanced units in the world.
