I hated school. All of it. Elementary all the way through to the Dean's List in college. Laughable coming from a UC Berkeley grad, I know. I would do anything to get out of class — and I mean ANYTHING — so much so that I finagled my way into bailing school early to assist a Wells Fargo private mortgage banker at 15 years old. Yawn-city, but she fueled my caffeine addiction + taught me how to drive a stick shift. It's also where my business-admin background kicked off. Calendar invites were & still are my jam. I fell in love with events around that same time too, spending all of my extra $ on punkrock + hardcore shows at the 930 Club in DC + The Ottobar in Baltimore. Sun damage aside, not much has changed aside from the laundry list of people, brands + agencies to thank. 72andSunny + SICKY, I know how to start + run a company, while working strategically with creatives + investors. I also know how to manage other human beings (i.e. uber talented creatives, insane but awesome clients, and newly graduated college toddlers), book artists, work with talent, advance a show, and negotiate, thanks to you. Red Bull, VOLCOM, REGIME, SRH, thank you for the brand-bootcamp, Field & Experiential Marketing, Event Production, and talent/athlete Brand Partnership Experience. FitOps, Grind Out Hunger, Freedom Artists & The Malibu Invitational, a MILLION thank you's for teaching me how to produce large-scale charity events, work with NPOs, + for giving me the opportunity to uncover my passion for philanthropic-connectivity. Marie Forleo x B SCHOOL, I know how to strategize and implement a business in the digital world. And I would like to thank my mentors for answering every phone call, teaching me the in’s and out’s of sales and securing new business, and for always having my back. You know who you are. Looking at LinkedIn always makes me assess how I ended up "here." Maybe it was my father, who always pushed me to show up with integrity + "just get it done." My anti-authoritarian mom for instilling loyalty, rebellion, encouraging "hack-schooling" + spirituality, i.e letting me explore my creative brain. FEARLESSNESS + communication... well, that comes from my Grandfather, Jack Anderson, political columnist, card-carrying-member of Nixon's Hit List. Independence, + ownership: Hats off to Grandma Barb 'cause you can't get A DAMN THING past an Italian Grandmother! The ability to create space for people to “be themselves,” and feel at ease, that’s all my Grandma Libby. However "here" happened, I'm perpetually learning, honing in on my abilities, and hungry for more.

Founding Artist (Music) + Brand StrategistThe Idealists Lab Aug 2022 - Nov 2024GlobalWE MAKE ART FOR HUMANITY. The IDEALISTS Lab is a creative and production studio and home for artists singularly focused on making art for humanity. We cultivate authentic creative expression by humans, for humans – including design, film, photography, live theatre and community art. Here’s how we see it: We’re all humans, speaking with other humans. You, yourself, are not, in fact, a brand or product or consumer – you are a human being with a very good reason or platform by which to connect with others; to create connectedness among others. That’s where we come in. We create art to connect us. We create from love. We create for good. theidealistslab.com -

Ocean Rescue X First ResponderTown Of Emerald Isle Apr 2019 - May 2020Emerald Isle, North Carolina (Sobx)As a freelancer I can make my own schedule and dedicate resources + time to people, places, and things that I care about. Emerald Isle, North Carolina is a 12 mile island in the Southern Outer Banks where my family has enjoyed every summer for the last 20 years. In an effort to give back to the community, I joined the Fire Department as a First Responder + Ocean Rescue Lifeguard. Not only was it absolutely mind-blowing to go through Ocean Rescue training, get CPR certified for the first time ever, and learn what it means to be a First Responder, but I was also working with 20-somethings + college kids which completely re-energized my love for mentoring this age group. I'm big on philanthropy + giving back, and this was definitely the most amazing way that I've ever gotten to contribute.CERTIFICATIONSUnited States Life Saving Association First Aid CertificationCPR CertificationBeach Emergency Vehicle CertificationConcentration: First Responder Open Water Rescue -

Director Of Brand DevelopmentNclusive Apr 2014 - Apr 2015Greater Los Angeles AreaNCLUSIVE -- 1/3 Digital Creative Agency, 1/3 Sports Marketing Agency, 1/3 Incubator, and I was lucky enough to have my fingers and toes involved in all of it. Brand Development led me to creating pitch decks for fundraise for our clients, developing clothing lines, curating + launching a content studio, overseeing the build of a merchandising platform from the brand-side, and working on strategies for app build + launches. I learned the in's and out's of e-comm management from a build standpoint to a day-to-day management standpoint, watched the evolution of social media marketing from the front lines, and guided small businesses in their builds by developing strategies + creative. NCLUSIVE was a trip -- amazing team, incredible experience, and one of THE (capitalized, underlined, and italicized) driving factors in my dive into all-things-digital. If it wasn't for my time with NCLUSIVE'S team of badasses, I definitely would not be consulting + coaching today! Our team was young, lean, and there was definitely a heavy presence of high-performers + self-starters on board... it also helped that they let me blast the office with Taylor Swift songs on a regular basis. -
Vice President Of BrandSicky, Llc Jun 2012 - Apr 2014Malibu, CaSICKY is a lifestyle and culture brand that was born from the desire to showcase artists, musicians, and talent with a tangible product: Hand-Crafted Eyewear from Italy & Japan. SICKY is the collective vision of owner and founder, John Hildebrand, and a handful of key advisors and friends who believe in quality, art, design, culture, forward-thinking, and philanthropy & social good. Here's the story... SICKY holds a special place in my heart. When I moved to Venice in 2011, my next door neighbors just so happened to be John Hildebrand, a.k.a. Mister SICKY Himself, and Keegan Gibbs, one of the most gifted visual creative & marketing humans on the planet. Everybody hit it off instantly, and John took me under his wing. Within the first 6 months we started scheming the strategy, organization, launch of SICKY Eyewear, and promptly started putting our business plan and investor pitch materials together. Within 3 months of finishing the business plan, we secured seed funding and I was brought on full-time as the Vice President and Director of Brand Production. All administrative, hiring, training, content creation, event production, brand ambassador coordination, website copy, and execution of all-of-the-above was my daily cup-o-tea.After about a year of brand design and development, product design, trips to Italian manufacturing plants, endless all-nighters, and hundreds of hours of event launch planning, we officially launched SICKY in November of 2013. Dc101 Promotions AssistantIheartmedia Dec 2004 - May 2006Washington, District Of Columbia, United StatesDC101 was like a party 100% of the time -- office work never felt like work, and the events were a blast. It coupled well with my I.M.P. internship and I could usually marry the two... it's also how I got the job at DC101, which was coveted by kids in my industry in DMV. I was on the ground making sure the station's events and giveaways ran smoothly, and I was doing it all with my friends so it never felt like work. RESPONSIBILITIES- Assisted in organizing and executing station promotions and events- Coordinated with on-air personalities for giveaways and live broadcasts- Engaged with listeners through events and social media- Helped with prize distribution and tracking for contests- Represented the station at live events, connecting with the audience and promoting the DC101 brand -
Marketing And Promotions InternI.M.P. Sep 2004 - May 2006Washington, District Of Columbia, United StatesMy first internship was pretty much the pinnacle of all internships that any music-loving-DC-kid could have: the I.M.P. and 9:30 Club Marketing Internship was the crème de la crème of all job opportunities for us live-music-addicts. I.M.P. (It’s My Party, Inc.) is a renowned concert promotion and event production company in the DMV. It owns/operates/manages the promotions and marketing for THE most iconic venues in DC, Maryland, and Virgina, i.e. the 9:30 Club, The Anthem, DAR Constitution Hall, The Gilmore Silver Spring, and Merriweather Post Pavilion.- Supported marketing campaigns for concerts and events- Assisted with press and content creation - Conducted market research - Collaborated with the marketing team on promotional efforts, including attending and working all events- Assisted with event coordination and logistics -
Marketing Intern9:30 Club Sep 2004 - May 2006Downtown Washington Dc, Washington, District Of Columbia, United StatesI started going to 9:30 when I was 11 -- when I was growing up in Maryland and DC I legitimately considered it my 2nd home. So, no surprise, when I was old enough to work there, I did. For free. If you've been to 9:30 you know it's just different, and until I started working for other companies that I understood why. It's truly legendary, and that is because of the staff and management. The club has been a part of DCs rich history since the '80s and is the go-to for anyone looking to catch both rising stars and big names in an intimate atmosphere. The sound is unreal, it feels alive no matter what, and the cupcakes are bomb. I did marketing intern things here, however, my bosses never made me go get coffee.
