This work involves analysing existing requirements, identifying relevant research outputs and consulting with industry stakeholders to identify the requirements needed in the new or revised standard. I then draft the requirements and associated rationale and guidance prior to consulting with industry and updating the standard based on their comments. I also undertake technical review of standards drafted by other members of the standards directorate. I act as the technical lead/ technical reviewer on RSSB sponsored research projects. In this role I help to develop the specification of the research, select the supplier, chair project meetings and provide technical review of the research.
