I was directly responsible for the development of the PayMe platform, including managing relations with all integration partners. My key responsibilities and achievements include: - Working with the CTO to migrate the development team from India to a nearshoring operation in Lisbon where I was responsible for interviewing and selecting each member of the team. - Management of multiple outsourced technology teams across the UK, India, Croatia, Australia and New Zealand. - Upholding development standards by conducting code-reviews and ensuring best practices and procedures were being adhered to. - Assisting in the selection and management of new technologies and all external vendors and contractors, ensuring technology projects are delivered on time and within budget. - Management of cloud and database infrastructure ensuring that systems are not offline. - Worked closely with the marketing department to establish Aztec’s public facing website. - Coordinated between the business analysis team, test team and development team, helping to transform requirements in to documents, then broken down in to tasks, ready for development. - Scrum master, running daily stand-ups and defining sprints. - Architecting new features and continually evaluating new technologies to further improve theplatform.

I was tasked with architecting and developing this new platform, whilst maintaining and utilising whatever possible from the existing solution. - Designed and architected a best in class PaaS supply chain finance solution, capable of integrating seamlessly with large corporate ERP systems and e-invoicing vendors, able to process billions of dollars in invoice transactions. - Worked with offshore teams in India and coordinated with other consultants globally to implement features and grow the platform. - Implementing industry standard development processes and standards to ensure the technology platform passes security audits undertaken by parties such as the World Bank IFC and Aztec’s global banking partners. - Introducing development best practices and processes, e.g. continuous integration, coding standards, code reviews etc. - Before the end of the year, I had helped overhaul the development team and oversaw the transition between two offshore companies in India to increase productivity and reduce costs.

The southern Norwegian branch of a worldwide group of consultants who specialise in deliveringinnovative technology consulting for businesses.A short-term engagement with an incredibly tight deadline: one week to create a taxi booking application using Xamarin, working against an existing in-house API and a third-party API. The time constraints required me to be up and running on the project within hours with the first delivery successfully being handed over after just one week. - Working directly with DevoTeam’s client to discuss requirements and features. - Working with the in-house server team to define additional requirements on their existing API. - Working directly with a third-party providing an API for taxi services nationwide to utiliseexisting methods as well as define new ones required to allow the application to be realised. - Co-ordinating with other contractors and the in-house team to ensure all deadlines were metsuccessfully. - Based on the success of the first delivery, the engagement was extended to include a host ofextra features as well as creating branded versions for several taxi firms within Norway. - Finally, I was tasked with creating an iOS target for all the above.

SmartCare is a young and innovative company that is disrupting the eHealth sector with our free to use, life saving services for people living with chronic illnesses. As Chief Technology Officer I am responsible for building the tools and services that allow us to not only meet our own vision of becoming the market leader in mobile health solutions, but to exceed it by meeting the demands of our customers and partners. To date I have taken the platform from a small LAMP stack running on a single server in Norway with a small group of test users to a highly available and scalable cloud solution running in 4 countries with an ever increasing user base.Being the first to market with a new technology, especially as a small startup that's growing organically has taken a great deal of careful evaluation and selection of the right tools needed to succeed, with little to no slack when it comes to failure. I hold full-scope management responsibility for internal/external infrastructure from employee desktop through to our web services, alarm servers, web presence, customer support portal, marketing and customer support requirements. Day to day tasks include sys admin for our cloud platform, coordinating with our technology partners, project management of new features and tasks, developing those new features, front-line IT support and administration internally, second line technical support for customer / partner issues, managing all outside technology vendor relationships whilst coordinating with the rest of the company.All of this has been made possible by embracing next generation technology where applicable and drawing on years of experience creating solutions for an international market. And when time allows I can also be found pitching for investors and presenting SmartCare at conferences, with the last presentation at HIMSS Middle East in Dubai resulting in an award for the best product in the mHealth category.

Day to day activities ranged from eliciting requirements to creating specifications and leading teams in the process of building complex custom controls for use in the products, designing and building APIs for both internal and third party use as well as plugin architectures.Notable developments include:- A completely modular and extensible architecture for the base product utilising Prism, Unity and MEF.- Architecting and building custom controls that are capable of handling millions of rows of data.- An advanced printing framework capable of printing any WPF control with live print previews and endless customisation.- Architecting and developing a plugin architecture to allow for full customisation and integration with third parties.- Performing advanced performance optimisations to ensure the software runs as fast and lean as possible.

Netthandelen is Norway's largest online auction site with over a million registered users. The development team were experimenting with mobile applications and required some advice and guidance on the best mobile approach and development frameworks. I was able to help evaluate the requirements of each of the applications and offer recommendations on the best tools and approach to use in each case. This enabled the team to save a huge amount of time and effort exploring all of the dead ends and choose the best options immediately.

Splendid have an impressive client list, implementing solutions for many well known companies. During this short contract I was tasked with making updates to a live web app as well as completing functionality on a pre-release project, working across two teams. Despite the short time frame, I was able to integrate quickly and exceed the expectations of the contract, completing all desired work ahead of schedule. An extension to the contract was discussed although not possible due to a following contract already in place.

Tasked with reshaping the existing workflow for an XBAP application, developing new printing and news modules as well as general bug fixing. Providing support to developers in both the Norwegian and Vietnamese offices, with time being spent between the UK and Norway.

A UK start-up offering a pioneering agile decision platform based on the F1 McLaren race strategy to answer and actively manage the main strategic issues that a global firm faces working in partnership with Microsoft. As one of the original developers on the project, I had exposure to .Net 3.0 from the early TAP releases.Tasked in an agile development environment using SCRUM and extreme programming, working with User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UE) implementation following the Model/View/ViewModel architecture and advanced custom controls. Leading feature teams through weekly meetings, requirement gathering, analysis, design and implementation of new product features. Defect resolution with all levels of the architecture and product migration. The product is a full .NET 3.5 WPF implementation.
