I am a fourth year environmental engineering student at the University of Oklahoma pursuing an Honors B.S. and an Accelerated M.S. with a minor in Water Technology in Emerging Regions. I have a passion for sustainable water treatment and distribution, especially in developing countries, as well as an interest in environmental remediation. These passions emerged from my interest in pool water chemistry. I was a competitive swimmer who created a chlorine research project in high school and earned a National Swimming Pool Foundation Certified Pool Operator Certificate as a teenager. These interests have lead me to join a Center for the Restoration of Ecosystems and Watersheds Research Team.I also have a passion for service. I am President of Engineers Serving Others and Philanthropy Chair for Society of Women Engineers at the University of Oklahoma. In the future, I would like to work with a team that encourages me to continue to pursue these passions and use my WaTER minor by serving with Engineers Without Borders.I am currently pursuing an internship to establish more hands-on experience in the water field. My long term professional interests include working for a forward thinking team that values sustainability and service.
