My early career started off putting my efficient office skills to use with typing and filing positions, but I quickly wanted more so I expanded out and tried to find work in the things that I liked to do. I became a Game Designer, then an entrepreneur running my own hobby store, then I jumped back into the job pool as a temp falling back on my skills in data entry and office administration.After all of this, I realized there was one constant through all of my experience; computers. I used them constantly, I enjoyed working on them, I had no fears when it came to new things involving computers.So that is where my heart and mind decided that this is where I was meant to be. I quickly applied for some courses with TechSkills to work on certifications that came easy to me, as it is stuff I have been doing on my own for years. This introduced me to the life of Tech Support; be it working at Ferrrellgas or even at home with friends and family, I was the go to guy for computer stuff.I then took the next logical step and enrolled at ITT Technical Institute to work on my Associates Degree in Computer Networking. During this time I had expanded my IT experience through a few years in Quality Assurance, but found myself back in Tech Support when I came on board at Umbrella Managed Systems.Now with my certifications and a Bachelor's degree backing me up, Umbrella has seen my potential and I am moving into a Project Team position where I am putting my passion to work doing the thing that I love.Throw in some PC gaming on my free time and weekends, and it isn't hard to tell that I am the quintessential model of what it is to be a computer geek.
