In Prime brokerage department under Pre-matching and fails team and trade support team. The Pre-matching and fails team main moto is to match the trades on T-1 date of settlement by checking if all the information given is valid and have the right parties in the place and contact the necessary parties in case any of the information is not in the right place and make sure the trade matches and settles. I was also part of trade support team where in we see that the trades which has entered into MS systems are valid, and are pertaining all the market rules and regulations and imposing controls if the information is not valid and reaching out to necessary parties to check and correct the trade.Responsibilities:- Me with a team of 2 were responsible for the Asian markets as they are risky we used take extra measures to control the risk such as reaching out to the necessary parties on T-1 day. It could be the counter party or the client.- I used to make sure that I was very well organized and timed as I was working on the markets and they clearly had settlement timings and we made sure most of the times that we are handling the trades according to the market settlement.- Understanding each markets rules and regulations was one of the very important need for the role because we as a team were rotational to make sure that everyone in the team has good knowledge and knows how to handle the situations and the risks in the market. - Was responsible to do certain EOD checks where we report all the functions we have done and if there were any escalations regarding any issues in the day that had to reported. - As we were dealing with the client's assets we are very careful on all the decisions we used to make as a team.- We used to make sure the High Value trades were facing right Counter party and other trade details match on T-1 day to avoid any last moment rush.
