Hi! I’m Sampad and I’m currently a post graduate student who just completed my masters in Computer Science at the Chennai Mathematical Institute (CMI) in May 2024. Since July 2024, I’ve been working at IDFC First Bank as an Associate Data Scientist.I am an ML enthusiast with diverse and multidisciplinary interests. My current focus is on working with foundation models and large language models (LLMs). My master’s thesis was based on exploring efficient alternatives to attention mechanisms, and I continue to delve deeper into these cutting-edge technologies.In addition, I am deeply concerned about the safety and ethical implications of artificial intelligence. I am particularly interested in AI interpretability and developing techniques to ensure that AI systems are safe, transparent, and responsible.I am also a tech enthusiast with a passion for modding phones with custom ROMs. Staying updated on the latest developments in technology excites me.Outside of my professional and academic pursuits, I am a fitness enthusiast who loves working out and weight lifting. I have a keen interest in nutrition and am a regular at the gym. Alongside my fitness regimen, I am a big foodie who enjoys traveling, going on hikes, and cycling trips.In the future, I hope to conduct research in the field of AI and machine learning, contributing to the development of safe and responsible AI systems
