Key Responsibilities and Accountability:• Implementing Energy Management System in DPL group and reducing the electrical and thermal energy cost as per the set objectives, goals and targets. • Implementing new projects with related to efficiency improvement of the machineries and equipment in production facilities across the group.• Implementation of DPL Safety Management System in three factories, which covers fire risk prevention, accident minimization and improvement to the hazard material handling. • Awareness programs across all levels of employees to build up energy conservation and safety culture at all three factory premises. • Reduction of the carbon footprint and water footprint of the company.• Internal auditor, ISO 14,001 Environmental Management system.Training and Carrier Development ProgramsOccupational Safety and Health Diploma at National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), Sri LankaKey Achievements:• Installation of 50 tone energy efficiency chiller plant to replace the inefficient chillers and saved 1.8 million LKR per annum. • Modification to the glove manufacturing drying ovens and saved 2.5 million LKR from biomass consumption.• Preparation of the factory safety management system as per the international OHS guide.• Calculation of the DPL group carbon footprint to measure the actual carbon emission for future reduction plan.
