I'm a 1st Class Integrated Masters Biomedical Science graduate from the University of Warwick currently working as an Senior Scientist in the Respiratory and Immunology Biology Unit at GSK.In 2019 I secured a placement year at GlaxoSmithKline in the Novel Human Genetics Research Unit working on early drug development and target and pathway validation for an ongoing disease project.In 2018 I was awarded a Wellcome Trust Biomedical Vacation Scholarship to work with Professor Owen Davies on a research project to determine the efficacy of calcium pyrophosphate as a synthetic bone graft substitute in osseous regeneration.At university I was an active member of both Lacrosse and Futsal at the university playing BUCS as well as being SEMLA/Development Vice-captain for the lacrosse club. I wrote scientific articles for The Boar, being published both online and in print. Furthermore, I was also Vice-president of Matchday society, an organisation that creates affordable trips to football games for students and more.I have experience within science communication and outreach both as a qualified STEM ambassador, Warwick Life Sciences ambassador and Cheltenham Science Festival volunteer.
