Designed and developed:A web-based GUI for the RapidScale Clustered Filesystem / RAID storage appliance, in Ruby and Rails, with HAML and guest starring Treetop.A system for automated verification of server serial numbers (physical barcodes) and internal settings which operated on racks of servers at a time. In Ruby, Rails using HAML and DRb.A telemetry gathering "phone-home" appliance for deployment at customer sites and a central "operations center" for consolidation and display of said telemetry in Ruby, Rails and using DRb, Stomp and the Apache ActiveMQ message-broker.While at Rackable I also did an analysis of the current manufacturing automation and test system and created a requirements specification and design specification for a coherent replacement for the current system.

"the one throat to choke"), led a product group formed from 20+ separate teams that created RAID arrays by developing and integrating technology from 8 internal and external providers. Delivered the StorEdge 6130 in 11/2004, 2 updates in 2005 and the StorageTek 6140 in 2006 (the fastest ramping product in Sun history).Concurrently, I built and ran a Systems Engineering team.Participated in sales engagements; Drove the win at San Diego Supercomputer Center; The StorEdge 6130 became the storage for the DataStar super computer (#35 on Top500 list in 11/05).Managing a pSOS/PowerPC firmware development team, I delivered 2 releases of firmware for the StorEdge 6120 on time.As chief architect, I assumed technical leadership of the org, oversaw all projects, developed a product roadmap for the organization and designed a Fault Management Architecture for storage systems.
