My passion for caring and positively influencing people led me to choose a career in the medical field, specifically medical assisting. I believe that compassion is key and treating each person with respect and dignity will allow me to give the best possible service I can.I believe that advancement in the workforce comes with good experience and I am looking for an entry level medical assistant position with an office that will give me great experience to help me advance my skills and knowledge in the medical field. I believe that a positive, encouraging work environment leads to successful employees, and I would love to be part of such a team. I will be completing my extern hours at such and such clinic from January 2017-March 2017. I am excited to get first hand experience in a medical clinic and be able to help patients. I believe this externship will be beneficial in giving me "real world" experience that I will be able to apply to my career. My work history includes certified nursing assistant for two years and retail cashiering for one year. My experience as a CNA has helped me to develop my compassion for my patients and allowed me to be a positive influence on them. During my time as a cashier, I was able to develop good customer service skills and learn how to positively handle angry customers, which has been transferrable to angry patients. The medical field provides opportunities that I believe will be a fit for me for the rest of my working career. I am excited to see the advancements made in the medical field and how I will be able to implement them in my career for the best treatment of my future patients.
