In 2014 my partner and I started our own business which grew into a successful online home decor boutique called Bowen & Kenneth (B&K). In November 2016 B&K opened its first "bricks and mortar" store in the beautiful tourist town of Daylesford. B&K allows me to express my love of interior design and keeps my creativity alive. Our business also provides me with an outlet to give something back to the community, donating $1 from every sale to the Brain Foundation - a charity close to my heart. B&K also keeps me up-to-date with the latest design trends within the home decor industry, and has provided me with a unique insight into social media marketing and small business management.

From 2014 to 2016 I had been working for Casama Group, a highly reputable national wine distributor supplying to restaurants, hotels and bottle shops Australia wide. Operating out of the national head office in Abbotsford I was responsible for managing the Victorian Casama customer service team and national customer service team for Plumm glassware and UNO wholesale. It was my role to maintain high customer service standards across the department while managing key accounts, and supporting the customer service officers in handling enquiries from internal and external customers and coordinating supply of stock to events and high-profile clients across the country.

Prior to Casama Group I worked as department manager & visual merchandiser (womens wear) at Zara Chadstone. I was involved with the opening of the store from day one and worked my way to department manager through hard work and determination. At Zara I was fortunate enough to be selected for intense visual merchandising training which in turn put me in charge of all aspects of in-store visual merchandising and co-ordination. I traveled to other stores to help support the coordination teams during campaign and season launches and was well know for my creative flare as well as my organisational and problem solving skills. My time at Zara taught me to manage a large team and resolve problems quickly and effectively in a fast paced, high stress environment.

During the short time I lived in Daylesford I worked at two art galleries by the same owners which fuelled my passion for art and all things to do with interior design & visual merchandising. I was responsible for all aspects of running and maintaining Red Pepper Gallery & Stony Creek Gallery, generating sales and providing the highest level of customer service. I also helped the owner with book work and stock ordering from the office on the quieter days.

I perviously worked at our family winery in McLaren Vale where I was in charge of sales and marketing for our wine label “Sylvan Springs”. My duties included building strong business relationships with clients and negotiating sales face to face and over the phone, organising advertising campaigns and wine tastings, stock control, merchandising, brand design and holding winery events just to name a few. I also travelled interstate and overseas regularly to visit customers and attend wine exhibitions which taught me organisation and time management skills. My time at the family winery gave me a strong foundation to build on my wine knowledge and allowed me to take ownership of designing a full product range, having the final say on both package and label design and then being responsible for driving sales of a product that was 100% mine - a fete which proved to be equally as rewarding as it was challenging.
