I have been working in the development sector since 2009. I, at present, have been working as Junior Programme Manager, with Fondazione Albero Della Vita (FADV) -India, where I work on the issue of Child Rights, the main focus of which are Child Protection, Education and Health Programmes. There are six projects which I look after at present in West Bengal and Assam. Prior to this I have worked with Sristy for Human Society as Development Consultant, on Unorganized Sector Labour Rights in Kolkata, North and South 24 Parganas, where my major role was Monitoring and Evaluation of the Project and initiation of formation of Domestic workers groups. I had the opportunity to work with ActionAid on Empowerment of Muslim Women through Social Security Schemes and Land Rights, under DFID supported project. I started my career working as Sponsorship Coordinator in North Bengal Council for the Disabled. As sponsorship coordinator I looked into the work related to children. The prime task has been to maintain correspondence with the supporters, sending the supporters the updated photos of the children and the child messages and the reports. I also worked in the urban slums of Kolkata, ensuring that all children are in school. Child protection has been a prime focus.
