As a member of Greystone’s affordable housing development team, Sam oversees the pre-construction process, including reviewing agency requirements, identifying potential deal partners, and developing scopes of work to set a project up for success. Specializing in rural rehab portfolios, Sam uses his ten years of construction and engineering experience to create and implement innovative strategies to streamline preconstruction processes. His ability to balance a property’s immediate physical needs with long-term financial stability has helped him to preserve over 2,000 units, with an additional 1,800 units currently in various pre-construction stages across seven states.Sam holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Campbell University. Before joining Greystone, he worked as a mechanical designer, collaborating with architects, contractors, and clients on new multi-family market-rate projects. He leverages this knowledge to breathe new life into existing affordable housing. Sam’s expertise and dedication to his work have played a crucial role in the organization’s mission to preserve and improve affordable housing across the country.
