I recently embarked on a new venture with a close associate, taking on the role of a chief executive to establish a large-scale chemical manufacturing plant. Drawing from decades of diverse experiences, I am focused on launching a Sodium Silicate cullet and liquid production unit, operational round-the-clock with a capacity of approximately 175 MTPD cullet or ~400 MTPD liquid.My responsibilities encompass leading a sizable team to establish a strong presence in the Sodium Silicate/Metasilicate industry, both domestically and internationally. I aim to implement best practices and organizational culture gleaned from my tenure as Managing Director, Country Director, and Management Consultant, enhancing strategic planning, policies, and operational excellence aligned with leading chemical manufacturing facilities.A cornerstone of my approach is prioritizing safety, environmental sustainability, and governance within and around the plant. In this capacity, I oversaw all operations across these regions, encompassing project leadership, P&L management, and comprehensive responsibility for business development.My role involved directing the Project Management Office, devising cost-effective financial models, and managing the entire lifecycle of RFPs/EOIs to meet stringent proposal deadlines. Under my leadership, I oversaw the incorporation of Orga Systems India Pvt Ltd as a subsidiary of the German telecom company Orga Systems GmbH. Established on May 16, 2011, within a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in India, I successfully negotiated with the Government of India to secure SEZ status for the company.My role encompassed comprehensive procurement responsibilities spanning India and the APAC region. Additionally, I led the establishment of a 25,000+ square foot, 250-seater office in DLF IT Park II, Kolkata, facilitating the company's operational infrastructure.Furthermore, I actively participated in project procurement and collaborated with a regional bidding team on APAC projects, contributing to the company's strategic initiatives and growth trajectory.

My responsibilities included developing and nurturing new vendor relationships for Global Nalco across Southeast Asia, encompassing countries such as India, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Additionally, I played a pivotal role in strategic sourcing initiatives that contributed to the organization's overall procurement strategy.

My role involved heading India Procurement and serving as the Regional Procurement Manager for Surfactants and Amines across the Asia Pacific region. This encompassed a wide range of procurement activities, including global bidding and negotiating rate contracts with suppliers of varying sizes.In India, I managed the procurement of all items, both direct and indirect expenditures. This included raw materials, chemicals, packing materials for production, equipment, project purchases, instruments, spares, reagents, services, IT equipment, and stationery. A significant portion of my responsibilities included handling high-sea purchases, imports from independent vendors, and intra-company procurement.Additionally, I oversaw negotiations for warehousing contracts, AMC/SLC contracts, company cars, travel and hotel policies, and service contracts. Vendor development was also a key focus area within my role, aimed at supporting the company's objectives and enhancing supplier relationships.

My responsibilities included initiating procurement processes such as floating inquiries, preparing comparative statements, negotiating and finalizing agreements, and issuing Purchase Orders (POs) or Letters of Intent (LOIs).In addition to procurement, I managed store operations, implementing methods like ABC, VED, FSN, XYZ analysis to enhance inventory control and efficiency.

I was responsible for managing utilities and overseeing the maintenance of machines to ensure uninterrupted operations.
