Working as a Senior Program Officer - Governments and Policy, South Asia.Prior to this, I was deputed as a State Climate Consultant at Climate Group, where I worked with the Tripura state government primarily on the Bio-village 2.0 project, which aims to improve the socio-economic condition of the rural population through sustainable climate-friendly development models. I also assist the department in incorporating the climate change aspects into their policies and schemes, and in engaging with school and college students on various environmental initiatives.I have over five years of experience in the environmental sector, working with international organizations like WWF-India and Climate Group on projects related to forest landscape restoration, nature-based solutions, wildlife management, land use mapping and climate policies. I am skilled in environmental awareness, report writing, project coordination, community engagement, GIS, and remote sensing. I have done my MSc in Wildlife Conservation Action from Bharati Vidyapeeth Institute of Environment Education and Research. I have been selected for a fully funded student exchange program at the University of Cologne, Germany, under the Indo-German Partnership for Environment Interaction in Focus. I am passionate about climate change mitigation, adaptation, biodiversity conservation, and community engagement. I seek to apply my knowledge and skills to contribute to global environmental goals.
