• Associate Director’s role involved handling distributors and staff for achieving the revenue targets assigned to the entire Eastern Region comprising of Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, Bengal, Sikkim and the North East states; managing a team of Fifty Five Resources along with a Senior Manager & a Deputy Associate Director directly reporting in (with their downward lines of reportees) spread across 9 Distributor points and 5 Branch Offices.• Also entrusted with the Regional administrative responsibilities including smooth operations of the Regional Office in Kolkata and the 5 Branch Offices spread across the Region.• Primary objective of the sales function in the company was to implement its pricing policies from time to time for its bouquet of channels by way of detailed discussions and negotiations with the Multi System Operators/Cable Operators. • Responsible for ensuring timely collections and achievement of the budgeted targets on a monthly basis.• Responsible for ensuring proper placements of the MSMD channels in the spectrum of the concerned networks; conducting marketing and promotional activities on the ground for the affiliates (including celebrity management and visit to the networks of the affiliates, road shows, etc.).• Performance required the ability to cope up with the unstructured environment of distributing Satellite channels through Cable in India; demonstrate good PR skills, good negotiation skills, ability to motivate the dealer force towards greater achievement and good man management skills.
