Before transferring to the bar and becoming a barrister, I was a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist at Broadmoor Hospital, one of the maximum secure hospitals in the UK. As a consultant, I worked with some of the UK’s most complex, high profile and dangerous patients with wide ranging skills as an expert witness, giving evidence in crown courts, including the Old Bailey. As a barrister, I have gained extensive experience in all aspect of criminal law including Magistrates, Crown and Youth courts, civil, family, and Inquest law. I have developed links with mental health solicitors, joined Mental health Lawyers’ Association and Association of Personal Injury Lawyers with the view to further expanding my practice in the above areas of law with specific focus on Mental Health, PI and clinical negligence.
