From concept to humble studio beginnings, to the development of San Diego's largest Artwalk "Ray at Night,"​ to "Barrelly Made it"​ fine wine & whiskey furniture/smokers, to Top Chef diner parties, I've been able to participate in all of it from the start & help facilitate as a host, friend, patron & occasional social media, studio & event manager. As a video artist, I've documented production, art & music shows (+behind the scenes) featuring & hosted by Gustaf Rooth & many other top artists at Planet Rooth Studios. The video art expanded to projects for outside clients in commercial & art forms. Planet Rooth led by Gustaf is at the forefront of Artisan custom woodwork, design, paintings, sculpture, entertainment & high art in all forms. It is truly an honor to be one of the many artists inspired & supported by Gustaf & to be given the opportunity to be a part of bringing joy to the public through art.

In-home support services for two mostly independent seniors. Helped them live their lives on their own terms as much as possible, by being a Swiss army knife of support. Whatever they were interested in I would help keep them informed about and whatever they needed help with around the home is what I would do. Basic duties included: General companionship, being a waiter and helper for the one with limited mobility, driving to doctor appointments, lifting and moving heavy objects, shopping, cooking, yard maintenance, haircuts, tech support, etc. 

Researched & wrote a comprehensive three volume guide about what has changed in America using history, culture, politics, sociology & psychology in the spirit of Thomas Paine's Common Sense & de Tocqueville's Democracy in America. In the process, discovered a so far undefeated unifying theory on the intersection of politics and psychology that removes the veil from most of society's mysteries. This book currently provides the intellectual foundation of all featured articles. Extensive use of Twitter as a news aggregator, idea tester, promoter, analytics tool and community builder.

Built top level Fortune 500, NGO & Government relocation services from the ground up in a complex international environment once considered a "black hole" in the relocation world. I was told several times when starting to build foundations that "many before have tried & all before had failed". What it took was the ability to be multicultural & utilizing every mode of logistics while being able to constantly adjust to the myriad of legal & social changes Mexico & the U.S. have been going through. Certain things work one way in the U.S. & another in Mexico. Having "Excellent" reviews from nearly every customer was continuing confirmation of success in providing the highest quality available in Baja. Handled every aspect of the relocation: sales, survey, customer service, international documentation, customs clearance, complex logistics, specialty services & on-site management to delivery or release for top tier international forwarders. Keeping cultural differences in perspective & giving proper respect in fluid multinational relationships were also keys to the successful international business & exchanges. The trust, success & friendship from this approach from gov. officials, C-level executives, NGO leaders, vendors & partners was essential & truly rewarding. Working with highly educated customers coming & going from interesting places has also been great contribution to my knowledge of corporate, gov, & NGO needs & struggles while trying to navigate the inner workings of the global cultures & economies. Since the latter parts of the 2000's, Mexico's stability & thus growth potential have been going in some troubling directions. I.E. with the benefits often no longer outweighing dangers, I mostly stopped doing business in Mexico, but still consult on a case by case basis.

Three seasons of high-speed, live-action film-making. Filmed several races & interviews each week, processed, edited, & uploaded videos for racers, fans and sponsors consumption with quality & timely results. Videos are a main feature at the UTCX Awards Party. Also featured on Cyclocross Magazine, Cycling Utah, Women's Cycling Magazine, Mona Vie Cannondale, Racer/Commentator Blogs etc. Of the top 10 reasons to race CX in Utah, #2 was to be in one of my videos. It has been an honor to film such great athletes in a fun new to the U.S. sport & to be a highly appreciated & trusted part of a community.

The largest moving & storage company in San Diego started in 1912 created a new position to lead & build up a full service international dept. & higher quality services with Mexico for the State Dept. Directed the transformation of a primarily domestic company into a top-level international company through listening to the needs & following through with solutions for all departments. Led through research, training, quality control, designing & implementing new strategies, building new accounts & finding new revenue streams. Taught international moving theory & UVL international packing certification classes, trained coordinators, warehouse operations, corporate presentations, supported corporate & private sales staffs. San Diego & U.S.- Mexico Chamber of Commerce representative. Doubled international revenue in the first 6 months.Worked closely with the U.S. State Department and the U.S. Consulate in Tijuana to completely redesign their relocations to & from Mexico. The goals & the outcomes were to eliminate previous persistent losses, damages, provide consistent high quality results & top level services.

Increased, managed & controlled international shipments & relocations both private & corporate for high end clients. Bar code international & domestic surveys. Supply-Chain design, implementation & management for designer furniture. Liaison & Consultant to ILM (Industrial, Light and Magic) for prop storage & logistics. Learned all about the sales and operations of the domestic moving & storage industry in the high end market of Marin County to compliment corporate international expertise.

Transitioned from commodity freight forwarding to the much more personal household goods freight forwarding/relocation industry by joining the largest privately held international HHG's FF in the world. Strong emphasis on Fortune 500 corporate sales & account management. Market research, CRM, international surveys, move coordination, customer presentations, relocation policy consulting, database management, status updates & communications with offices all over the world.

After graduating with a degree in international relations & spending a year in Europe learning about the culture and the import/export business in the EU, large export companies were not hiring due to recession.. A friend was the sales manager at a small auto-loader-shipper / freight broker shipping company so I offered to answer phones or whatever was needed to get experience and learn the shipping portion of import/export. Within 3 months, I was the operations, documentation, customer service, & warehouse manager. In hindsight, I was very fortunate to go to a small company to start as I was able to learn every aspect of growing & building a business. As my experience, interests & studies grew exponentially, I helped turn this small broker to a federally licensed & fully functional NVOCC (consolidator) shipping company. This experience was a wonderful introduction into the multidimensional aspects of every type of business & how much can be accomplished in a short period of time given the right circumstances & support to build bigger & better.
