I transferred from an offshore platform rig background and currently working on a 3,000 HP inland barge with top drive. I drill complex wells with ballooning shale, lost circulation, and high pressure zones and have a lot of experience with MPD systems. I have also adapted our supervision guidelines to improve crew efficiency and retention.

In this role I gained experience working on an AC drive PACE X land rig. I operated, maintained, and inspected automated equipment such as TM-80, PM 3000 Catwalk, Canrig AC Commander Drawworks. I also took the time to mentor fellow crew members to raise communication, morale, and work standards.

I was promoted to supervise and lead drill crews through conventional offshore platform installations performing reentry wells, sidetracks, slot recoveries, P&A, drilling, workover, and completions.

Once again I was promoted to contain, treat, weigh, and pump different types of drilling and completion fluids (fresh/salt water, brine, calcium chloride, perflow, water-based mud, oil-based mud, evo mud). I maintained and changed expendables on different triplex mud pumps (Gardner Denver, Nationals, H&H) and used p-quip equipment and stabbing/racking.

M/U L/D tubulars on rig floor using ST-80, manual tongs, hydraulic spinner wrench, and slips. Safely operated air hoists, hyd hoists, and man riders. Maintained and inspected all rig floor equipment.

I landed this job just a few months after graduating from high school. In addition to properly flagging crane operator with all lifts, I inspected lifting gear for safe handling and proper rigging and provided general housekeeping and upkeep around the entire installation.
