Samantha heads Strategic Initiatives for UNOPS which focuses on promoting and driving sustainable, resilient and inclusive infrastructure. The unit carries out research, develops strategies for governments, and builds tools and capacity for mainstreaming these critical agendas. The UNOPS portfolio covers much of the Global South including diverse projects in fragile states and vulnerable communities.Samantha is an architect with a PhD in sustainable development and a career in urban development and resilience. Prior to UNOPS, Samantha led International Development for Arup in Southeast Asia based in the Philippines. She has over 20 years’ international experience managing programmes and advising on governance and strategy with organisations including the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Lloyds Register Foundation, the Rockefeller Foundation and the World Economic Forum.
