I am a broker of bulk and packaged industrial sand and gravel in the Northeastern US. I consultant to industrial sand manufacturers. I provide advice on markets, products, prices, costs, and capital needs. I specify sizing, drying, screening, testing, blending, packaging that achieve precise grain size distributions and offer consistent chemical and physical properties.I provide sales and technical expertise for $5 million of annual industrial sand sales to water treatment, drinking water well, filler, grout, coating and abrasive industries. I define grain size tolerances, statistical confidence ranges, chemical properties, effects of impurities in sands and their effect on the properties and end use. I work closely with customers and suppliers to produce and provide sands having precise grain size distributions. I wrote procedures to test sand that minimize the variability of sampling. I used statistical techniques to provide good confidence in particle size measurements.I Completed all due diligence tasks to finalize the sale of company assets to another sand and gravel producer. I worked with attorneys and sales brokers to prepare sale listing and key technical items for prospective buyers. I compiled the real estate, mineral reserves, machinery capacity and revenue/expense projections. I negotiated pension and union agreements, paid taxes and liabilities associated with the sale, closed facility prior to settlement, and transferred all mining/air/water/land permits.

Greater Philadelphia Area

I exempted the facility from the NJ SPCC and federal SPCC spill programs. I obtained mining permits in two municipalities using testimony on land air, and water. I secured 8 NJDEP Air/Water Permits. I successfully classified the facility as a synthetic minor, i.e., the facility is not subject to Title V of the Federal Clean Air Act.I obtained financing through 3 banks and one private lender. I Used regression analysis to project revenue, to simplify cost analysis and to verify profit. I repared weekly cash flow, monthly compilations, annual reviews, direct and indirect costs. I supervised 14 employees, mentored 7 co-ops, negotiated 4 union contracts.I Specified, designed, quoted and installed water/slurry pumping systems and screening machinery, and reduced direct costs. I sized steel beams, steel columns and concrete footings for projects. I repaired steels exposed to sand, heat and low pH water by welding, lining and coating.

I have centered U15 and under games for South Jersey Boys, Girls and EDP Soccer Leagues. I have centered U15 and under games for EDP tournaments at Hammonton, Pittsgrove and Cohansey.

South Jersey

I received my USSF Beach Soccer license in NJ in 2019. Since 2013 have centered Men’s/Women’s/Coed and under games in unsanctioned (Cape Express Beach Blast) beach tournaments. I also prepared crews, scheduled rotations for up to 12 fields, mentored less experienced referees, resolved conflicts and helped to maintain a positive beach soccer experience.

I sand casted Aluminum Silicon Magnesium (A357) for aerospace gearboxes, fuel controls and structural components. I developed procedures to add Titanium and Strontium to A357; increase tensile strength and elongation; and reduce porosity defects.I worked with teams that improved the metal quality of A357; reduced contamination and shrinkage in C355 and B201; and sand-cast Al-Si containing 20% SiC for thin wall test data.I used my metallography skills to measure the depth of surface defects, to identify dross and oxides, and to determine the extent of shrinkage in AZ91, ZE41, WE43, QE22 and ZH62 Magnesium sand castings.I gained skills in metallography, optical and scanning electron microscopy, tensile testing, image analysis, EDAX and WDS.

I researched the effect of Strontium additions and heat treatment on the microstructure and mechanical properties of sand cast A356. The research suggests that heat treatment times could be reduced and toughness and elongation can be maintained in Sr- modified A356.

I studied pitting in power plant heat exchanger tubes. I fatigue tested ( Instron high and low cycle) Nickel based alloys in marine environments.
