Senior Planning Engineer - Transmission Network Planning
CurrentAs a Senior Transmission Planning Engineer, my main responsibilities and experiences include:- Performing technical network planning studies using DIgSILENT PowerFactory to identify network on the SWIS transmission network (330kV, 220kV, 132kV, 66kV) to identify existing and emerging capacity constraints and proposed network development options to alleviate these limitations within the 10 year time horizon.- Perform System studies (Steady State, Transient and Fault Analysis) to assess the impact of network issues- Develop medium to long term (0-10 year) optimised asset replacement plans for Western Power transmission substation and line assets- Lead Engineer in the development of the capital and operational expenditure transmission network development plans and associated forecast expenditure requirements for Western Power's Regulatory Submission- Development of documentation to support the transmission capital and operational expenditure for Western Power's Regulatory Submission- Developed project scope, budgets, business cases and other documents for approvals- Lead and sponsor projects from the initial inquiry stage to the designing stage, provide technical assistance until the final delivery of the project- Manage a portfolio of works outsourced external clients- Review of technical reports- Process improvement experience
