As a Technical Support Specialist at TechSource, Inc., I have consistently taken a proactive approach to evolving my role to meet the strategic needs of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Project Management (DOE PM). Starting with managing and securing a fleet of performance laptops, I identified opportunities to improve efficiency, leading a transition to a new solution that better integrated with the Department. This initiative not only improved security and compliance, but also reduced friction and increased satisfaction for our analysts. As a result, I took on the roles of Information Technology Point of Contact (ITPOC) and Authorized Property Representative (APR), expanding my leadership responsibilities.I also serve as the PARS AI Lead and Technical Lead of the PM AI Governance Board (AIGB), where I contribute to the strategic use of ethical AI within DOE. I developed a project assessment framework, incorporating risk quantification methods to ensure effective AI implementation. These efforts have advanced DOE's AI initiatives, aligning projects with industry best practices. My leadership on these projects is laying the foundation for leveraging LLM technology to better process EVMS data, accelerating decision-making and helping ensure more capital projects are delivered on time and within budget.In addition to my AI governance work, I pursue opportunities to develop new skills, supporting our DevOps team with a GitHub + Azure CICD pipeline. This includes ensuring systems are ATO'd and adhere to NIST standards. I also took on project management responsibilities for a collaboration with DOE's Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response (CESER), where we are delivering a web platform for improving their disaster response coordination.My educational background in Computer Science, with a focus on cybersecurity and engineering physics, underpins my interdisciplinary approach to problem-solving. I’m passionate about leveraging technology to create impactful solutions and continuously seek opportunities to grow, lead, and work with talented teams.Overall, I am driven by curiosity and sense of discovery, and I am always interested in learning more about diverse fields across disparate industries. By learning more about the different frameworks of thought used by people across a variety of disciplines, I am able to increase my expertise and broaden my perspective. This enables me to better collaborate, better communicate, and better innovate solutions in a world full of increasingly complex problems.
