Key aspects of the role included:Provision of expert advice to the organisation on BS7799 and on information risk analysis/management.Ensure compliance and conformance with BS7799.Development, implementation and enforcement of relevant information security policies, ensuring compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and other legislation and regulations related to information security.Policy implementation and review.Co-ordination of information security activities (including training) with IT and Information Governance (e.g. Caldicott, Records Management, Consent, Confidentiality, Data Protection Act, Data Accreditation) appointees within the organisation.Development and implementation of information security awareness and training programmes.Development and implementation of a comprehensive Business Continuity PlanInvestigation of suspected and actual breaches of security.Provision of advice (and onward action where necessary) in response to Audit findings and recommendations in respect of information security.

Provision of personnel support to Management Teams in accordance with policies, procedures and employment legislation. Assist in preparation of contracts and disciplinary paperwork.Set up interviews and issue relevant correspondence.First point of contact for all HR matters.Maintenance of employee records.
