• Carryout technical audit on Telecom network sites to ensure quality assurance and optimized network services. • Managing all assigned tasks in the optimization of network services at all IHS Network sites and office buildings• Providing support to all active clients to ensure enhanced customer experience and revenue assurance. • Interface with other departments within Technology Group. • Develop Medium and short range plan and direction for territorial uplift and network performance.• Ensure IHS Towers are operated and maintained to best industrial practice.• Manages 2nd level intervention of major and minor systems faults in the Region. • Develop, implement and maintain an efficient knowledge transfer mechanism to regional operations team. • Produce and distribute weekly and monthly reports on all audited sites within IHS portfolio. • Ensure continuous improvement of processes and procedures to foster efficiency and power systems optimization. • Co-ordinate activities and monitor site performance. • Identify training needs of field engineers. • Implement departmental strategies in line with organizational goals• Continuous search for alternative sources of power, which are cost effective and environmentally friendly.

Nigeria

• Carryout preventive routine maintenance on transmission network infrastructure (fiber optics and microwave) on backbone cell sites within the region.• Provide seconds level support to field team on all transmission related activities• Manage quality audit on newly installed transmission links before integration to the network• Carryout other project management activities as it relates to fiber optics and microwave links within the region.• Coordinate the resolution of all quality and traffic related faults on cell sites within the region• Manage Tx Link acceptance test on all newly installed High Capacity (OPTICs, SPDH & SDH) links within assigned sites before traffic cut over. Follow up on resolution of all snags identified during ATP

• Site performance management to improve regional availability, reduced MTTR, reduced BTS fault counts, site performance improvement planning and execution.• Field engineers management; routine maintenance scheduling and follow up for closure, WO closure, interfacing between FSE and back office to get all faults resolved. Also work with third party vendors to meet company goal in execution of projects • Site routine check and high level support for team members, in house training for the weakest link to bridge competency gap among team members• Site monitoring on BSC and escalation to team members• Enforce and ensuring compliance of company policy by team members. • Equipment Spare management

• Supervise power maintenance contractors to ensure power availability on sites• Supervise and ensure site maintenance contractors carryout the jobs in accordance with signed SLA• Carryout both preventive and corrective maintenance on SDP and PDH micro wave links• Carryout preventive and corrective maintenance on BTS and Node B on sites• Monitor and offer first level maintenance of fiber links equipment’s on site• Resolve all other faults not within SIM SLA

• Ensure all site construction and equipment installations (micro wave radios, Base transceiver station, Rectifier) meet the required international quality standard and customers specifications• Give technical support and interpretation of BTS/BSC site design diagram to both civil works contractors and equipment installers. • Carry out intermittent site inspections especially during land marks in the construction process. E.g. Tower foundation check before casting. Inspection of tower during erection and conduct torque test after erection, generator installation, • Inspection of Huawei BTS equipment, transmission radios and antenna systems during installation. • Give technical assistance when ever required to both contractors and site engineers to ensure site quality is not compromised.• Manage all issues that could hinder the progress of site within the region including communal related problems.• Carryout final site acceptance from site build contractors and also hand over site to our customers • Conducting training for new engineers and refresher courses for old once to keep abreast of global and local best practices in the telecom industry
