Coming from a pretty humble background, I was fortunate to go to one of the premier engineering colleges in India - the College of Engineering, Pune. I graduated as a Mechanical Engineer and my first job was in the Machine Tools Division at Voltas - a part of the Tata Group. While Voltas was a fantastic place to work at, at the end of one year, I realized that Mechanical Engineering was not my life's calling. Thereafter, I accidentally joined a "tiny company" in a then little known space of IT services. The company was Infosys and I joined it when it was around 200 people with about $5M of revenues. I spent 25 fantastic years at Infosys starting off as a software engineer trainee and then going on to do various roles like being the customer partner for the largest account at Infosys, heading industry verticals like Communications, Media & Entertainment (US), heading regional delivery teams like APAC & Canada and heading Billion$+ service offerings like Cloud & Infrastructure services. During this time, I also had the opportunity to incubate the Products & Platforms business at Infosys called BIZP which was then spun-off as what is now called Edgeverve of which I was the co-founder and COO heading products & sales.Thereafter I joined Hewlett Packard as the Chief Delivery Officer of their Enterprise Services business. Being a Fortune-100 CXO was all about managing operations at scale i.e. 6,000+ customers, 200K+ employees, 100+ countries and $20B+ of revenues. After the merger of CSC and HPES, I went on to serve as the Chief Delivery Officer of DXC and was part of the core team that did one of the biggest mergers in the history of IT Services industry. Having been a "builder maker" at smaller firms like early Infosys and then founding BIZP and Edgeverve to me was more exciting than being a "manager at scale". Thereafter, I was very excited to join Soroco as CEO - excited by the founder's vision, excited by the team and excited by the impact of what the technology could do for customers. And right now, I am on an exciting journey of helping scale Soroco and making it the market-leader in our space.On a personal level, I am an avid sports enthusiast, love travelling, love cars, love movies, love cooking, love interior decoration, love reading & writing, speak at industry & academic forums, love singing, love painting et al. I have been on the Board of Soroco, Edgeverve, HP-ES India & DXC-India. Few industry awards - the Nasscom Business Inovation award, the IE Innovation award, the Outlook Business Icon award & ET Global Indian award.
