Brian is a software entrepreneur with 20+ years of programming experience and a decade as an entrepreneur. In 2010, after a career of writing software for Fortune 500s, local governments, and Silicon Valley startups, he launched a solo freelancing career. His success lead directly into the founding of Ten Forward Consulting, a custom software development firm based in Madison, Wisconsin in 2012. In 2014, he co-founded Mobile Doorman, a venture funded startup based in Chicago and served as CTO until 2020, helping grow the company to nearly 50 employees and millions of resident users. Brian has been heavily involved in Madison's technology and entrepreneurial scene. He served as director of Madworks Coworking, one of Madison's first coworking communities, from 2012 through 2018. He has been on the organizing committee of Startup Weekend Madison since 2013, and has organized and spoken at numerous technology meetups, conferences, and other events both locally and nation-wide.
