Conducts regular inspections for Environmental Health and Safety compliance. Directs bi-annual chemical inventory and reconciliation using Georgia Tech's Chematix software.Experienced grader for undergraduate MSE courses, including introduction to materials science (MSE-2001), mechanical properties of materials (MSE-3003), and introduction to fiber enterprise (PTFE-3720).

Fellow in the Student-Teacher Enhancement Partnership (STEP) program created and managed by Georgia Tech's Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning (CETL) as part of a 10-year National Science Foundation (NSF) grant. The grant supported the study of professional development in Georgia Tech graduate students who were trained and placed into metro Atlanta high school math, science, and engineering classrooms to reinforce, augment, and enrich the curriculum.Three-month summer training learning pedagogical concepts, studying No Child Left Behind data, and preparing for teaching high school classes.Autonomously taught mathematics (all levels) and freshmen Physical Science classes (total 5, 10 to 30 students each class) at Tech High School, a charter school focused on math, science, and engineering in inner city Atlanta.Coordinated activities and teacher partnerships with five other STEP fellows, six teachers, and educational administration at Tech High School.Developed and tailored laboratory experiments and demonstrations for students, who would otherwise have no opportunities for experiments, using limited self-supplied and Georgia Tech resources. Tutored and taught on one-to-one level in mathematics.Enriched students' knowledge with analysis of current events, career perspectives, and personal college experience.Disseminated experiences, knowledge, and ideas verbally and electronically to CETL managers and the 10+ other STEP fellows in the program at other schools on a weekly basis.

Involved in a sintering study of various compositions seeking to minimize grain size while achieving full densification. Work resulted in a paper that has been submitted for publication in JACS Nano Letters.
