Advantech provides mainly for industries and is a company that is firmly established in the industrial market. I am working as a technical sales engineer and I liaise with customers inside my designated territory to increase or maintain levels of business activities. I work mainly with clients in the industrial automation industry and those in the embedded market sector. Buying decisions in these markets are different than those from a consumer point of view, being based more on technical information and rational analysis. As such, it requires the application of technical knowledge to solve and provide adequate solutions for the customers. I need to decipher datasheets and convey the information in an efficient manner which my customers can easily understand. Some of the main responsibilities that I have are to ensure that customers needs are being fulfilled and their expectations are met. The product range include embedded boards, industrial computers, Panel PC's, data acquisition modules, industrial port switches, digital signage equipment, etc. It is required of me to continuously learn and possess a good product knowledge of those in the company's product family to be able to provide optimized solutions for my clients.
