I hold degrees in both Electrical Engineering (B.S.E.) and Biomedical Engineering (M.E. and Ph.D.), and I have over fifteen (15) years of experience in patent law. My graduate studies focused on radiofrequency (RF) coil design and pulse programming for nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) systems (magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS)). I was also responsible for non-invasive testing using MRI and MRS to characterize biological systems and their responses to various drug treatments.My legal experience spans law firm, in-house, and academic environments. Significantly, I managed the litigation for Furukawa Electric North America, Inc. (FENA), which is the parent company for both OFS Fitel, LLC, and OFS Laboratories, LLC, previously the optical fiber division of Lucent and AT&T. FENA is also the parent company to a host of other domestic and international corporations.
