My role as Key Support Adviser is to enhance the progress and retention of learners at NCL. I establish relationships and assist learners to plan and reflect on their learning, and ensure learners have access to the guidance and support that is available. I work with relevant College staff to monitor attendance, achievement and progression of learners, and identify those who may be experiencing progress difficulty. Liaise with appropriate staff, to establish and operate an early intervention system and ensure that ongoing support is available for learners where required, and maintain appropriate records and provide reports and recommendations as required.I maintain regular contact with learners to review attendance, achievement and progress and agree any further action and actively encourage learners to take responsibility for their learning and progress, referring learners to make effective use of appropriate support.

Enable EAST (Employment Academy for Supported Training) is a Big Lottery Funded programme, and an innovative employment project that supports people who have learning disabilities enhance their skills and confidence, in order to secure and sustain paid employment within East Dunbartonshire & East Renfrewshire.The role entailed working on a 1:1 and group basis to enhance employment skills by delivering specific training that was tailored to meet the individual needs of the client. I developed professional relationships and business developed within the local area, and managed professional relationships with local authority services, job centre staff, social work teams and educational establishments. I developed positive relationships with people who have learning disabilities, and used vocational profiling and action plans to build up employability skills, and to set goals and aspirations for the participants of the programme.

Key tasks are Performance Management, setting Personal Improvement Plans, monitoring productivity, conducting regular 121’s to ensure each agent is updated on their performance, providing coaching and support to the whole team, absence management and motivating the sales team. Monitor Stats, Service Level, Length of calls, abandoned calls set by the client and make sure the Business and Operational Managers receive this information on a weekly basis. Take escalations from agents in calls and emails and provide a good level of customer service for the customer by trying to solve their queries. Operate spreadsheets and add in details of the days work into a report. Provide a friendly and approachable persona to the agents. Feedback 121’s with the agents giving them feedback on their monthly stats, any problems they have and also setting targets for the forthcoming months. Also completing 4 month reviews and making sure the agents are working to the best of their ability.

In charge of agents who are working on the House of Fraser project. At peak times have been in charge of other projects such as Fortnum and Mason, Office, Edinburgh Woollen Mill and Trust William.Watch the number of calls that are coming through and making sure there are enough agents to answer the calls that are being delivered. Be the first point of contact for escalations.
