Associate Registrar and Director of Administrative Systems with the Office of the Registrar (RO) at the University of Alberta. In this position I was a member of the RO senior leadership team and as such was jointly responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction to +160 employees. My general responsibilities included overall development, direction, implementation, management and measurement of ongoing strategies and programs to support the goals of the RO and the University. On a micro level, I provided managerial oversight and direction to various units within the RO, including Finance and Administration, Information Systems and Business Development (IT) and Examinations and Timetabling. At various times over the course of my tenure, I held management and oversight responsibilities for Marketing and Communications, Human Resources, Policy and Governance and Central Registries. Inherent within these management responsibilities was mentoring, coaching, and building collaborative relationships.Over the last few years, a great emphasis was placed on identifying, prioritizing and undertaking projects that resulted in reworked business processes and/or technology upgrades in order to meet the mandate of providing exceptional service to prospective and current students and the greater University community.

Managed and led the Office Services division of the Office of the Registrar. Acted as the Chief Financial Officer responsible for financial management, budget preparation and maintenance, initial processing of undergraduate applications, student records management and retention, and the collection of various student fees. During this time, I was accountable for developing, establishing, and maintaining an effective and efficient support structure to manage the financial and administrative operations of the Office of the Registrar.
