About Sam Tecle
I am a litigation and dispute resolution lawyer in Gowling WLG's Vancouver office. I practice in the areas of commercial litigation, employment law, and professional liability.Working across multiple sectors, I help clients navigate a range of contentious matters – from intricate contract and negligence claims to white-collar fraud investigations to high-stakes banking litigation files. I have appeared before all levels of court in British Columbia, as well as before administrative tribunals in British Columbia and Alberta.Complementary to my practice, I am also an adjunct professor at Capilano University's School of Legal Studies where I teach advocacy. I currently serve on Capilano University's Board of Governors as well as on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Association of Black Lawyers.Prior to joining Gowling WLG, I served as a judicial law clerk for the Honourable Justice Robert L. Barnes of the Federal Court of Canada. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Victoria, after which I lived and worked in South Korea for several years.
