Managing the hardware, firmware and manufacturing team building muse: the brain sensing headband.Responsible for electronics hardware design, mechanical design, manufacturing process and testing, and interfacing with our overseas manufacturing partners.The muse brain sensing headband requires some unique design and manufacturing features to allow for an easy to wear, clinical grade EEG that is affordable and manufacturable in large quantities. A big focus of my team has been on reducing complexity and inconsistency in the manufacturing through design and process improvement, with the ultimate goal of increasing yield and reducing cost while maintaining a consistent user experience.

I lead a multidisciplinary team of 7 developers in creating a programmable quadrotor intended to be used by hobbyists and researchers to develop autonomous behaviours for flying robots. My job involves setting tasks and providing guidance to the other developers, managing the overall technical integration of the product, from sensors, motors and batteries to the software the controls it all. I also personally designed most of the electronics hardware, mechanical components, and wrote the low level flight control software.In this position I have had to learn many new skills both on the management side, and to fill in any technical areas we couldn't readily hire specialists in.
