About Samuel B.

"Red Five standing by" That one phrase has been with me since I was a little boy sitting in a dark movie theater watching THAT movie. I didn't understand what that phrase meant to me until years later. My work life began at an early age I developed a strong sense of empathy for others assisting customers and being helpful with easing pain points when possible. Later, I took my real-world understanding of human interaction and psychology into the graphic design world. Here I quickly developed senior-level skills creating marketing, business, and environmental designs for various industries, from startups to multi-million dollar campaigns. In my years as a Senior Designer and Art Director, I developed my soft skills through working in and leading various sized teams and working with other team leaders as well as stakeholders. I have always enjoyed engaging both the creative and analytical parts of my brain. I began my transition to web and app design by learning code and front-end development but quickly realized that all my work, all my experience in my personal life as well as my corporate life has led me to UI/UX design. Finding User Interface and User Experience design was the perfect mix. I have always tried to tell a story, solve a problem, or create a positive experience in graphic design, marketing, web design, and now UI/UX and human-centered design. I have been building myself to be a better employee, a better co-worker, and a better asset to any company or project I am a part of. Each skill has moved me towards a goal, that goal being a UI/UX designer. Now I am looking for the right fit for my next adventure.
