Sam joined Consolidated in April 2008. Prior to his appointment, Sam served in numerous elected and appointed positions for the City of Maywood over a span of 22 years. Sam was a five-time Mayor, two-time Mayor Pro-Tem, City Council member, and two-time Chairman of the Maywood Redevelopment Agency. Sam became one of the youngest Mayors in the history of the City of Maywood and, at the time, one of the youngest Mayors in the nation in 1999. Sam was appointed as the Chairman of the Maywood Planning Commission at the age of 18, elected City Clerk for the City of Maywood at the age of 23 and President of the Maywood Lions Club at the age of 25. Responsibilities• Sam will also manage Republic’s community affairs and relations activity in the Cities and will work closely with the Area Recycling Manager to develop effective public education methods and collateral materials. • Sam will also attend any community meetings that the Cities and public agencies establishes in order to educate customers about the new program. Serves as the primary contact person for the public and the media, in conjunction with GM, and will available to the City at all times.• Sam will work very closely with the Cities to ensure that a positive, accurate, and consistent message is received by the public and the media relating to our programs and services. • Sam will also assist as Republic’s customer service department as a field account representative, working with service recipients in order to solve service or billing issues that may arise.
