Samuel Oliver Abel is a Public Health Specialist and a Humanitarian Aid enthusiast who has developed hands on skills in Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, and Data analysis with certifications.He has also been trained by the World Health Organization on COVID-19 management and Immunization in the community.In his early career, he made name for himself by saving lives of community members who would rather turn to the community pharmacies for health care than go to the hospital. He was able to tackle their health challenges through outreaches, networking and collaboration with Doctors, Nurses, Pharmacists and other relevant health practitioners.He currently works as the State Technical Advisor with the Society for Family Health in Niger State, Nigeria where he innovatively and collaboratively work with both internal and external stakeholders to implement the IntegratE 2.0 Project in the state. This project leverages the TSTS Policy to integrate, train, mentor, and supervise Community Pharmacies and the tier-accredited PPMVs to offer and report quality health services on family planning and PHC services (Malaria, diarrhea, nutrition, pneumonia, and TB) in the community especially the vulnerable women and children in Niger State. Previously, He worked with a medical team in Kwara State, Nigeria as the State Community Antiretroviral Therapy Pharmacist, where he interacted and collaborated with relevant stakeholders like the State Agency for the Control of Aids, the community members, community health workers and the Village head chiefs to strategize, develop, implement and sustain policies that enabled establishment of a One Stop Shop that provides quality HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis management and prevention services among Key Populations in the state.He is Optimistic, a risk taker, and a timely achiever of SMART goals.
