My focus was on Metal 3D Printing with the Direct Metal Laser Sinter (DMLS) process utilizing EOS M290 DMLS printers. I performed multiple functions including CAD set-up, support structure design, smooth printing, post-processing, shipping logistics, and quality analysis in support of GKN’s fast-growing Additive Manufacturing technology business.I was also involved in developing AM processes for new parts, transferring and validating new developments from R&D into production, improving production processes, ensuring production met assigned metrics (KPI’s), and strengthening alignment with global AM systems. Additionally, I actively contributed to continuous improvement initiatives across all machines and processes throughout the plant.
